Interactive Building Maps for Fundraising
Boost fundraising and large gifts with custom, interactive building maps
With Interactive Building Maps, donors can explore building spaces virtually, gaining a vivid understanding of the naming opportunities available. This visual representation plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the donors' imagination and the physical spaces being offered for fundraising opportunities.
1. Create an abstract floor plan to replicate each floor
2. Open your ThingLink suite account
3. Select Multimedia Editor > Create
4. Upload your floor designs > Add Tags
5. Upload Images for each tag > Enter each popup description
6. Save > Copy embed code
7. In your iFOLIO, select the HTML Slider > paste map embed code
8. Add “Naming Opportunities” or “Give Now” buttons to streamline fundraising initiatives
Create an abstract floor plan to replicate each floor
Using your favorite design software (Canva, Illustrator, etc.), create JPG files that represent a simplified version of your building’s floor plans that are available for fundraising and naming opportunities.

Open your ThingLink suite account
ThingLink allows you to create visual maps with interactive tags. You can position a tag on top of specific regions or rooms to be clicked on to gain more information about that space.
Select Multimedia Editor > Create
Navigate the dashboard to create a new interactive map.
Upload your floor designs > Add Tags
Upload your completed floor design files. Don’t forget to upload a cover image of the building for the user to select their desired floor from! Select “Add Tag” and place the icon over the desired room on your map image.
Upload Images for each tag > Enter each popup description
Select “Text and Media” to upload the image that will pop up once a tag is clicked. Write the title and body for each pop-up as desired.

Share > Copy embed code
Save your new interactive map as a folder in ThingLink and select “Share” and “Embed on Website.”Use the site's Copy button to automatically copy to clipboard or manually copy the code (Command +C).
In your iFOLIO, select the HTML Slider > paste map embed code
After you paste the code, select Preview to view the embedded map in your iFOLIO.
Add “Naming Opportunities” or “Give Now” buttons to streamline fundraising initiatives

Check analytics "Clicks on Links" to gain insights and track progress
Clicks on links in the iFOLIO analytics dashboard tracks the total number of clicks on your unlimited number of links within the page. Each button/link is gathered in one dashboard to conveniently check analytics and navigate to each button destination.
