Include alt text inside iFOLIO images

Use iFOLIO's flexible, integrated platform to embed alt text into images for increased accessibility & SEO.
 

1. Create a text-only block

2. Select text box & turn on HTML slider

3. Insert alt text with HTML

4. Preview HTML layout

Open an iFOLIO page or template
Open the iFOLIO page or template to which you’d like to add alt text.

Add a text-only block
Add or duplicate a block, open the layout library, and choose layout 20 for a text-only layout.

Click on a text box & turn on HTML
In your new iFOLIO block, select the text box where you want to insert the image(s) with alt text. Use the content editor bar to turn on the HTML slider.

Embed an image using HTML
Build an HTML layout, including any text you'd like inside your layout, plus at least one image with an <img> tag formatted like this:
<img src=”placeholder” alt=”Alt text goes here”>

Create an <img> tag for each image you'd like to add alt text to.

Copy image URL from iFOLIO Media Library

Create or duplicate a separate block with a media layout, such as layout 9. Use the iFOLIO Media Library to add your selected image(s) to the layout. Right-click an image and select “Copy image address.”

Add alt text to image(s)
Paste your copied link inside the “src” attribute of the <img> tag.
Add your alt text inside the “alt” attribute inside the <img> tag.

Preview your HTML
After you write the code, select preview to view the layout content in your iFOLIO. Your alt text will be embedded inside any image for accessibility.
