At the ceremony in Atlanta, the*gameHERS gave out 27 awards, which were voted on 43,000+ times across 4,378 nominees. The Twitch live stream reached nearly 160,000 views, shining the spotlight on incredible women in the gaming industry.
Among the awards, iFOLIO sponsored both the iFOLIO Trailblazer of the Year and the iFOLIO Leader of the Year awards to honor women for their contributions and successes in gaming and esports.
iFOLIO Trailblazer of the Year - an award that honors a woman or femme-identifying individual whose bold leadership has broken new boundaries of what's possible in the dynamic gaming industry - was awarded to Arin Goldsmith, a Senior Talent Marketing Specialist at Blizzard, whose perseverance as a woman in the gaming industry inspires others to pursue their own path to follow their passion.
iFOLIO Leader of the Year - which honors a woman or femme-identifying person who has demonstrated visionary leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to motivate and guide a team toward shared goals - was awarded to SupremeSensai, an Atlanta Twitch streamer who blends gaming, anime, and culture with humor and authenticity to inspire female gamers to have fun and be authentic. She is also the founder of the innovative gaming, anime, & culture company Big Creatxr.
