Embedding a Google Form with the Formfacade Add-on in iFOLIO

Forms are a great way to encourage viewers to engage with your page and generate leads by collecting contact information. Formfacade allows you to style Google Forms in your branding to blend a form into your site seamlessly. iFOLIO easily integrates forms in your pages with HTML embed functionality. Here's how you can do it yourself.

1. Create Your Form

2. Link with the Formfacade Add-on

3. Click the Embed Icon & Copy the HTML Code

4. Select the Text Box Where You Want to Add the Form

5. Toggle the HTML Switch and Paste the Copied HTML Code

6. Preview and Test Your Form in iFOLIO

7. Track Responses

Create your Google Form

Create your form using Google Forms. 

Click Here to Go to Google Forms and log in using your Google Account. Then click "Blank Form" or choose a template to start creating your form.

For a positive user experience, ensure questions are clear, concise, and accessible.

Create Your Formfacade Account

Once you've created your google form, you need to make a Formfacade account if you haven't already. 

Visit Formfacade to create your account or to log in and view your forms.

Open your form with the Formfacade Add-on

  • Once you've downloaded Formfacade, click the puzzle piece icon in your Google form to open the “Formfacade - Embed in Website” dropdown.
  • Click an item in this drop-down to load your form in Formfacade where you can further edit if needed.
    • Embedding through Formfacade creates a better view for visitors.
  • Once your form is ready, select “Embed in a Webpage” from the dropdown.
  • Select “My website is different from above” from the "Where do you want to embed this form?" Dropdown and click next.
  • Copy the provided code for your form.

Click on the Text Box Where You Want to Add the Form

Return to your iFOLIO and click on the text box in the block where you want your form. This will open the text editor bar.

Toggle the HTML Switch and Paste the Copied HTML Code

Within the text editor bar, click the switch next to “HTML” to convert the text box into an HTML field. Paste the HTML code (Ctrl/Cmd + V) you copied from Google Forms into this field. Any text box can be turned into an HTML field, and text content in that text box will not carry over once the field is converted.

Preview Your Form and Your iFOLIO

Toggle the preview switch in the editor bar to active the HTML and view the form as it will look in the iFOLIO. Toggling the preview switch off will allow you to view/edit the code again. Once the form appears properly in the text box, click the preview button in the top right corner to view your iFOLIO page as it would appear to a visitor. Ensure your embedded form appears and works properly before you publish!

Track Your Form Responses

Navigate to “Responses” and select “View in Sheets” to open your form’s linked spreadsheet, which will track each timestamped response.
